TOMATOES AND OKRA
ADD SOME COLOR TO YOUR MEALS!
1. Slowly heat one can of diced tomatoes (medium size can)
2. One bag of okra (frozen)
3. Once you cook tomatoes for a couple of minutes in low heat, add frozen okra to the tomatoes.
4. Stir tomatoes and okra's slowly. Do not turn on heat high because your stove will be bloody-red by the time you done cooking >_<
5. You can add a little bit of ground black pepper and salt or more depends on desired taste. I added too much salt this time and well I kinda ruin the dish but still taste alright after I dumped some sugar into the pan ;] The last time I made this dish I added chicken to it. I think it tastes better with meat in it instead of just plain veggies. You can also add shrimp or your choice of meat and garnish it with some chopped cilantro. Be creative as much as you want!
6. Spread your tomatoes and okra over rice and enjoy this healthy dish. It taste like Mexican rice to me. The okra and tomatoes give this dish a nice texture, color, and taste. I prefer this dish spicy because it will give you a good kick in the groin haha jk! Simple and healthy--that was my goal for tonight's dinner. I hope you enjoy this recipe. What are you waiting for? Hello ,
This for sure would taste better with red meat ( lamb or beef ).
you can add little of smashed garlic to the tomato before adding the okra, not too much unless you like it much. It will add a yammy taste to it.
